Homestay and Venture Breaks is the designated Homestay Accommodation Provider for Weymouth College.
We are responsible for providing homestay accommodation for international students aged 16+ who enrol at Weymouth College for between one term and two years.
We work with Agencies and Individuals worldwide, and welcome contact with new customers.

Use this form if you are staying in a homestay and intend to travel independently on a day trip, independently overnight, or overnight with your host. In all circumstances your host must confirm this, and if you intend to stay overnight, your parent must confirm as well.
What you can expect from Homestay
The service we provide includes:

Negotiating a quality assured homestay,

Arranging and confirming the placement, and
-
Monitoring and supporting the student's homestay experience throughout their stay.
The support we provide includes :

A formal review with the student and their Hosts at appropriate intervals during their stay,

Regularly liaising with Agents, or parents of independent students, as appropriate to the student's needs and activities, and

Engaging with Agents or parents and students regarding any significant issues that may arise.
We offer a further package 'Monitoring and Support of your College Experience' for independent students. This provides:

In-depth engagement with the college, which can include exploring and negotiating improvements in relation to studying, socialisation and the wider college experience,

An informal college focused weekly call and a formal monthly review with the young person,

Liaison between the college, the young person, the young person's parent/s or guardian/s, and our Hosts, as appropriate, at any time,

At all times, we seek to negotiate with all parties with a view to finding the best outcome for all concerned.
Sue’s and Jennie’s combined experience of 40 years in the inbound language travel industry in Weymouth and Portland, and the reputation we have developed among the local Homestay community means you can be assured of a quality product.
We work towards British Council recommended standards and are dedicated to providing a quality service to all our visitors.
We assess all our new Homestay Hosts to ensure the compliance with Fire Safety, Gas Safety, and Safeguarding standards.
We reassess each Homestay Host and their household at their biennial visit to ensure these standards are maintained.
Our Homestay Accommodation
For Airport Transfers, we have an established relationship with a local taxi company, and can quote for transfers to and from Heathrow, Gatwick, and other more local airports.

If you are staying with our hosts and want to travel out of Weymouth independently or with your host, you must complete this travel form at least 1 week before overnight travel or 48 hrs before a day trip.
Please read the procedures below as in some instances you may not need to complete this form every time you want to travel.
