Homestay and Venture Breaks is the designated Homestay Accommodation Provider for Weymouth College.

We are responsible for providing homestay accommodation for international students aged 16+ who enrol at Weymouth College for between one term and two years.

We work with Agencies and Individuals worldwide, and welcome contact with new customers.

Travel Form

Use this form if you are staying in a homestay and intend to travel independently on a day trip, independently overnight, or overnight with your host. In all circumstances your host must confirm this, and if you intend to stay overnight, your parent must confirm as well.

Extra package: Monitoring and Support of your College Experience

We engage with the college about your experience academically and could include negotiating improvements relating to your studying, socialisation, or other elements of college life.

We have a weekly informal call and a formal monthly review with you about your experiences at college.

We liaise between you, the college, your parents/guardians, and our Hosts, when appropriate and at any time.

We always start by negotiating with everyone involved with any issues and seek the best outcome for everyone's needs.

Lyme Regis (32 miles)

One of the best places on the Jurassic Coast to hunt for fossils and known for The Cobb, made famous in film and English Literature.
For food lovers, Lyme has a range of seafood bars, bistros and restaurants.
For shoppers, there are numerous independent shops to explore.

Poole is home to Europe's largest natural harbour, a historic quayside, a quaint old-town and a world-famous pottery.
A short boat ride across the harbour is Brownsea Island – one of the only places in the UK home to red squirrels.

Enjoy stunning views from Bournemouth’s Victorian Pier and explore its attractions, or take a zip-wire down to the beautiful sandy beach.
A short walk from the beach is the shopping centre with larger shops than you’ll find in Weymouth.
Or to relax and have some lunch, try Bournemouth Gardens that are central to the beach and the town.

Salisbury Cathedral has attracted visitors for centuries – not least to see one of the four preserved documents from the original Magna Carta in 1215!

Southampton (60 miles)

Southampton has a rich maritime heritage and focus on water sports, sailing and ocean racing, and is one of the busiest ports in the UK.
It is home to the SeaCity Museum, with an interactive model of the Titanic which departed from Southampton in 1912.
For shoppers, 400+ department stores, high street favourites and independent boutiques plus a retail park are all right in the city centre.
