How We Work
Homestay Accommodation
Visitors stay within the welcoming atmosphere of a Homestay Host, giving them the opportunity to learn English in an informal environment.
Quality Assurance
All our Hosts are carefully checked in accordance with British Council Standards and many of them have hosted visitors for several years.
Allocation
Most of our young learners stay in pairs but we can place visitors as singles or in groups of 3-4 according to your requirements.
Introduction to Hosts
Homestay and Venture Breaks staff meet and greet the group on arrival, with the Hosts, and ensure the smooth transfer from coach to Homestay.
Food
Our Hosts can provide any combination of breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal, following your requirements.
Food Allergies
Supplementary special diets e.g. vegan, lactose free, coeliac, nut allergies etc are available on request for a small fee.
Conflict Resolution
We are available 24/7 to advise, discuss and resolve any difficulties that arise, in a collaborative way.
Host Friendships
Many long-term friendships are forged between Hosts and visitors and on many occasions Hosts and visitors have continued to visit each other.
Our Lessons
Our lessons focus on speaking and listening to enable the young learners to gain the most from being surrounded by native speakers. They can also put their knowledge of the English Language into context.
All our teachers are qualified to teach English for Speakers of Other Languages and, like our Hosts, many of them have been part of our team for several years.

We deliver our lessons at a Sea Cadet centre close to Weymouth Town Centre, overlooking Weymouth harbour. The centre is located on three sides of a car park. The old section of the building has modernised classrooms, while the newer section has purpose-built classrooms, a canteen and sports hall with climbing wall.
In the event that a group has requirements that would be best served by a different venue, we can negotiate with other facilities.
